Sitemap Generator

What it is

A sitemap is essentially a table of contents for your site, written in a format search engines understand — a list of every page you have, handed to them directly instead of hoping they stumble across everything by following links around your site on their own.

Why it matters

Search engines do eventually find most of your content just by crawling around, but a sitemap speeds that up and makes it more reliable — especially for a page that isn't linked from many places, or content you've just published and want indexed sooner rather than later. It's a small thing that costs nothing and quietly helps your whole site get discovered faster.

How to use it

Open Tools → Sitemap Generator and click the button — that's genuinely the whole process. It builds the file and shows you its public address, along with a link to preview it.

You don't need to do anything with the file yourself afterward; search engines that already know about your site will find it on their own, and if you ever submit your site to Google Search Console or a similar tool, this is the address you'd give it.

Worth knowing

Not every page on your site ends up in the sitemap on purpose. Listing pages like "all articles" or "all projects" are deliberately left out — they don't carry unique content of their own, so including them would just add clutter without helping search engines find anything new. Your actual articles, pages, projects, and category pages are what's in there.
