SEO Overview

What it is

A single table listing every article, page, and project you've published, showing each one's meta title and meta description — the title and short blurb that show up in Google's search results and when a link gets shared — with a field to edit either one right there in the table.

Why it matters

When these two fields are left blank, search engines and social platforms don't just leave a gap — they generate their own version, usually by grabbing the first sentence of your content or the page title on its own. That's rarely as compelling as something written on purpose to make someone want to click. A page with a clear, deliberate title and description in search results consistently gets clicked more than one where a search engine guessed for you.

The problem is that this is exactly the kind of thing that's easy to fill in for your newest posts and easy to forget existed for anything you wrote months ago. This tool exists so you can check your entire site's search-readiness in one sitting instead of hoping you remembered every time.

How to use it

Open Tools → SEO Overview. Every published item is listed with its current title and description, or blank if you haven't set one. Use the filters to jump straight to what needs attention — Missing title, Missing description, Missing either, or Complete, if you just want to confirm everything's in order.

Click into any field to edit it directly; a character counter keeps you inside the length search engines actually display (roughly 60 characters for a title, 160 for a description — going over doesn't break anything, but the extra text tends to get cut off in results). Changes save as you go, with no need to open the item's own editor at all.

A reasonable rhythm: check this page after any batch of new posts, and do a full pass every couple of months to catch anything published without a title or description at the time.
